The world is on pause.

The last newsletter we sent was way back in 2017, when we launched our sister company, Deadbeat Live.

Now with this extended time, we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what was an epic start to the year. We wanted to create this newsletter to share with you some exciting Deadbeat news and to celebrate the inspiring community we’re proud to call friends and colleagues.

There’re new releases, fresh developments and introductions to awesome people we’ve welcomed to the family. Everyone here at Deadbeat HQ is itching to get back on location/ studio/ fields with you all really soon! In the meantime, we hope you’re staying safe and are surrounded by the people you love.

AYMAN: Refugee Documentary

Gearing up to it’s official release, we have launched the official website for ‘Ayman’, a short documentary filmed during the emergence of the current European refugee crisis in 2015, giving a first-hand glimpse into the conditions refugees experience.

The film is told from the perspective of Ayman, a young Syrian refugee, and his journey to seek safety after his world was turned upside down along with tens of thousands of others in the world's largest refugee crisis since WWII.

We have partnered with a selection of inspirational charities, including Refugees at Home and the South London Refugee Association, where you can donate at this urgent time directly via the website.

Looks like we’re not going to be out shooting anytime soon - but that won’t stop us producing stunning work.

Whether that’s by sourcing stock, repurposing existing footage or simply re-versioning with some animation magic - our team is set up and ready for your needs.

Pre-lockdown, we were hired to create some awesome, fully sourced footage films that demonstrate just that.

No project is too big or small so please do get in touch.

Deadbeat Live step into the ring, entering the world of live performance videos

Sharky Love & Ownership

Down a hidden road full of mechanics in NW London at Speakman Sound's Studio, Sharky and her band played single 'Love and Ownership', about Marriage and Divorce. It explores what unconditional love felt for children and families can do to ones mind, both positively and negatively.

Low Island

Pre Lockdown, we were invited to film a series of videos for Low Island. In the footsteps of Oxford Heavy Weights, Foals and Radiohead, the band performed an electric show at The Bullingdon. The video premiered on Clash Magazine.

There are many other tasty projects in post production, including Secret Cinema’s recent Blockbuster production Stranger Things and a turbocharged collaboration with the world's fastest-growing boutique fitness brand, BLOK to accompany the launch of their exciting new designer fitness centre in Manchester.

And then of course there’s our ultra violent kung fu sci fi zombie revenge film with an LGBT twist...

We can’t wait to share these with you soon!
